Buckeye Ridge

Rescue & Retreat

At Buckeye Ridge Rescue & Retreat, we believe healing doesn’t just happen in hospitals or offices — it happens in wide open pastures, around bonfires, beside a dog who understands your soul, or through a quiet moment with a rescued horse.

We provide creative, non-traditional therapy through meaningful animal connection, empowering transformation for veterans, children, survivors, and anyone seeking peace. Every stay supports our mission.

every visit gives back

Our mission is to help transform lives by utilizing the healing power of skilled animals in a creative way. Our goal is to create a place where no person or animal feels limited by their disability or extreme situations. We are a community focused on inspiring hope and empowering individuals and animals in achieving a balanced and fulfilling life full of purpose.

connection

Buckeye Ridge Rescue and Retreat is the non-profit division of The Pines at Buckeye Ridge.

We are a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit organization formed to help both people and animals.

Buckeye Ridge Rescue and Retreat rescues animals and provide them with a set of skills that give them a new life-changing purpose.

These animals are rehabilitated and trained in a way that enhances their quality of life with a purpose that benefits humans.

With the proven benefits of connecting with animals and nature, Buckeye Ridge Rescue and Retreat offers a place where human and animal relationships can flourish through transformative human-animal bonding.

These interactions are designed to improve physical, social, emotional and cognitive functioning while increasing independence for both the rescue animals and the individuals in need.
